Prepare the best food for parties at home with these tricks.

If you’re planning a party at home with friends but you don’t know what to give them, you can either prepare an elaborate meal or you could make your life easier with our simple, delicious dishes. This is party food that never lets you down!

It’s essential to start with something to awaken your guests’ appetite. Whenever you have people over for a meal at home, put out some olives for them to nibble, for example give them a choice of different kinds of olives, so everybody can find something they like. Carbonell stuffed olives are usually a hit. They will also help to fill your guests up, so you won’t have to prepare so much food.

You could also give them hummus. You just need 4 cups cooked chick peas, ½ cup extra virgin olive oil, ½ cup water, 2 cloves of garlic, 2 teaspoons ground cumin, 3 teaspoons salt and a pinch of red paprika. It is one of the best dishes for big parties because you just have to process the ingredients together and it’s ready when you need it. You can cut some carrots, cucumber and celery into sticks to dip in the hummus.

The Meal

Whether for a party or a get-together with friends, the important thing is not to over-complicate things for yourself. These dishes are always a success!

Spanish omelette with green pepper: this is about preparing a classic spanish omelette with extra virgin olive oil, with some added green peppers. Dice the peppers and sauté them until they change color and add the potatoes. From then, it’s the same as making a classic Spanish omelette.

Homemade pizza: when it comes to party food you have to have homemade pizza. You can make the dough yourself or buy pizza bases, add tomato sauce, whatever topping you want, and then – in the oven! To make your pizzas especially tasty, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil when you take them out of the oven. Now that’s what you call delicious!

Salad: a party is a party, but you always need salad to hand, because some people love to have something cooler with their hot food. So another mainstay of party food is salad. You can make it however you want, just make sure you don’t forget a vinegar and extra virgin olive oil dressing.

At a meal with friends or family, the most important thing is coming together, whether to celebrate something or just to enjoy each other’s company. So there’s no need to spend hours making elaborate dishes, just make sure you use quality products. It’s now it’s time to enjoy being together!
