INGREDIENTS
NGREDIENTS FOR THE STUFFING:
- 2 sausages
- A half salami
- 3 teaspoons of Carbonell Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 red pepper
- 1 onion
- A pinch of oregano
- 1 green pepper
INGREDIENTS FOR THE MEAT:
- 1 baguette
- A dash of milk
- 1 kg of minced meat
- A pinch of oregano, nutmeg, pepper
- Salt to taste
INGREDIENTS FOR THE GARNISH:
- 6 medium potatoes
- A dash of Carbonell Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt to taste
Preparation
Cut the bread into small pieces and soak them in milk to soften them; then make small breadcrumbs and put them aside in a bowl. You will mix them with the minced meat later on.
Put the minced meat on a baking tray and season it with oregano, nutmeg, pepper and salt. Do not add much salt because both the filling and the garnish already have some. Add the breadcrumbs and knead it until all the ingredients are well combined.
While the mix sets, chop the onion, the peppers, the sausages and the half salami into small cubes. Once you have mixed everything, add a dash of Carbonell Extra Olive Oil and a little salt.
Once mixed and seasoned, put it on the meat and roll it with the help of aluminum foil to shape it, and place it on the baking tray.
Before you start to bake it, add a dash of oil and place the potatoes peeled and cut in half with a pinch of salt.
Preheat the oven 15 minutes and once it is hot put the tray with the roll and garnish and bake it for about 45 minutes.
Check it from time to time because the potatoes could get dry, but don’t worry, if that happens, add a dash of Carbonell Extra Olive Oil and bake it for 5 more minutes; it will get moisturized quickly.
Put on gloves because the tray will be very hot. Take it out of the oven and offer your guests the best culinary gift this Christmas.
Bon appétit!
